The Talent Development Programme (TDP) is overseen by New Zealand Football and administered by the Northern Region Federation, setting a standard for youth competition and development (U13–U17). Only TDP-accredited clubs can play in the highest youth leagues, and clubs must meet criteria like coach qualifications, training sessions per week, match filming, access to goalkeeper coaching, and facilities.

Player selection is based on prior knowledge of players and open ID training sessions in February 2026. Players are encouraged to attend as many sessions as they can. Dates include:

Papakura City FC has extensive facilities including:

• 7 grass fields (4 floodlit)

• FIFA Women’s World Cup–upgraded clubrooms & changing rooms

• Bruce Pulman Park/Arena next door for indoor training

Futsal is incorporated into the TDP once per week to maximise ball touches, decision-making under pressure, and technical skill development — building players into well-rounded footballers. Sessions depend on facility availability.

• Starts Wednesday 4th March

• Currently scheduled Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 5:30pm–6:45pm

• 3 training sessions per week on a 30-week schedule

• Structured curriculum focused on Attack, Defence, Transition and club playing philosophy

• Youth Club Fee: $215 (covers club and competition fees)

• TDP Programme Fee: $395 per term (covers coaches, support staff, gear)Total Estimated Cost: ~$1,400 for year (Youth Fee + 3 terms). Payment plans available (Youth Fee upfront required)

A Girls-Only TDP is planned after full accreditation. Youth girls are welcome to express interest and attend ID sessions.
