This is a term-based programme and runs in Term 2 & Term 3.
Fee: $85 per term
Location: McLennan Park, Arimu Road, Papakura
Term 3 Start Date: Friday 24 July 2026Game Night: Fridays, 5.30pm–6.15pm
Players should arrive from 5.15pm to allow time for team allocation.
Kura Kicks is a game-night-only programme, designed to give our youngest players a fun and relaxed introduction to playing football.
Each week, players are placed into teams based on age. Teams are created fresh each Friday, so players get the opportunity to play with different children throughout the term.
If your child would like to play with a particular friend, simply meet up with them before the session and let the coaches know — we’ll do our best to place them in the same team.
Teams are made up of 3 players and will play three 12–15 minute games, rotating around different fields within the Kura Kicks zone.

Girls Only Option
Papakura City FC is proud to announce a major shift in how we deliver junior football for girls. Starting in 2026, we are creating a new dedicated Friday Night Girls Only format at McLennan Park!
The move comes as the club and New Zealand continue to see strong growth in female participation across all age groups. By moving to Friday nights, we aim to create a vibrant, high-energy, and female-focused environment that allows our players to build confidence, develop skills, and make lifelong friends without the pressure of Saturday morning clashes.
